Most of you knew my voice before you knew my face. I'm shy and awkward in front of a camera, so in the reels I became a drawing, and that let me put everything into the story and the telling.

02 · The witness
Real, for the films.
In the cinematic films I step into the past myself: Baghdad in 1258, Pompeii in 79 AD. I stand where it happened, and I leave the eyewitness claims to the people who were really there.
I grew up in Mumbai, went to law school in Delhi and Berkeley, and now live and work in Toronto.
Books were always my comfort when the world felt too complicated: history, law, philosophy, sociology. The more I read, the more ideas I had, so I started writing them down. When that wasn't enough, I started making videos. First for myself, then for the people around me, and now for you.
Law school taught me to go to the source, so every story starts with the research and every video cites its sources. I began with the history of power because, for me, it's less about left or right and more about who holds the power, whom it serves, and what happens when it's abused.
